Book Review of "The Kept Woman"

I just had to do a book review on this book "The Kept Woman" by one of my favourite authors Karin Slaughter, which I have literally just finished reading.

The story grips you from the start as do all Karin's books and I did not want to put it down till I had finished reading it.  I had to put it down though as I did not have the time to read it all at once and it is a thick book.

This is the latest book in the series regarding Special Agent Will Trent who works for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in Atlanta, and Dr Sarah Linton who is a medical examiner who has just started working for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, but she is also in some of the previous books with Will Trent as they knew each other previously.  You will also meet previous characters you already know if you have read any of these previous books.

This is a quote from the back cover of this book "A body is discovered in an empty Atlanta warehouse.  It's the body of an ex-cop, and from the moment Special Agent Will Trent walks in, he knows this could be the most devastating case of his career."

It is a murder story with "bloody female footprints" leading away from the crime scene showing that there is another victim they need to find.  There are connections to this murder to a rape case that Will has been working on.  Also there is someone from Will's past who is also involved in this.

There are lots of surprises and twists and turns in this book.  I do not want to give too much away but I heartily recommend that you read this book.
